Just for you

Hi everyone! Here's another clean and simple card for you today!

Bird Stamp is from Studio G and colored with Copic's. Sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink. as is the blueberry sky cardstock.

I normally use a 1/16th layer on all my matting but decided to change it up with the white and do 1/4. I think it gives it a bit more interest and character on this image.

Thanks so much

Hi there! I was playing around with some shapes that are from different companies and came up with this! They almost look like they belong together!

The center panel is stamped using a border stamp from TAC using Versamark and clear embossing powder. After heat embossing I sponged on some Wild Wasabi ink and then layered it with black card stock.

I've had the black tessatina die from Memory Box cut and sitting on my desk forever and finally used it. The sentiment label dies are from Verve, as is the sentiment stamp.

Smooth highland green cardstock is from Bazzill and is added to a black card base. Ended up being a CAS card in the end!

Water colored background

Hi all! I did a little playing around using some distress inks and some water color paper to see what kind of cool back grounds I could come up with.  This was done using weathered wood, scattered straw and a little bit of faded jeans. The original paper was about 4 x 5 and I decided to use my circle nestie to cut out the best of the water color effect.

Stamp is from Memory box and I used the MS punch to cut out a line of birds and then snipped one off to sit on the branch.

Sentiment stamp is from Victorine Originals. Yellow paper is from Making Memories and the baby blue cardstock is from American Crafts. Black gingham ribbon is used to a bit of splash on the card.

Quilted

Hello! Well, I made it back from CA and home to normal - even though it's raining, which is normal!

This card came about because of a quilt I saw on Pinterest. I like how the fabric was cut into triangles and then made into squares. For some reason it caught my eye and I decided to replicate it in paper.

I used Lasting Impressions designer paper and paired it with vintage creme cardstock. The striped back ground is done using an old background stamp from TAC and vintage creme ink and some clear embossing powder.

Sentiment is from Verve and I dusted off my square nesties to cut it out. Added a few tiny self adhesive pearls to make it stand out. I also used a white pen to add a bit of stitching to the DP, but it's hard to pick up in the dark photo.

White space

Hi everyone! Here's another clean and simple card that I left a lot of white space on.

Stamps are from the PTI Green Thumb set. I used Wild Wasabi and a lime Green chalk ink from Studio G to stamp the rubber boot. Layered with green cardstock from Bazzill after being cut out with a rectangle nestie.

The tag die is from Spellbinders and I found that I had the perfect color of brads in my stash to match the greens in the boot. I haven't used a brad in years, they've been collecting dust - ever since I found self adhesive pearls in so many colors.

Pastel Birthday Wishes

Hi everyone! I'm in sunny San Diego this week for business meetings. I absolutely hate sitting for three days straight! I've been on my feet and on the go for too long to sit still for that long!

Anyway, here is my card.

Sentiment is from Verve and designer paper is from Lasting Impressions. Dark blue card stock is enchanted evening from PTI.

Dies used:
Spellbinders oval nesties
MFT  fish tails
Memory box  leaf

The tiny pearls are from Michael's line of embellishments. I also got the blue roses from the dollar bin there.

Chalk board thank you!

Hello everyone! With the recent fascination with the chalk board technique, I'd thought I would give it a go. However, mine uses real chalk board paper!

I stamped the sentiment and the flowers in light yellow chalk ink onto chalk board paper that I picked up at my LSS. It's from Canvas Corp. and it came in a small artist trading card package. Stamps are from The stamps of life.

The designer paper is from Making Memories and the yellow cardstock is from Bazzill. I used dies from MFT for the long pennant, and the notebook die is from Papertrey.

The little yellow flowers are punched from a tiny punch bunch punch. I added some tiny white pearls for the flower centers. A white paint pen from Sharpie is used to add the white center in the stamped flowers on the chalk board.

Distressed

Hi everyone! Trying to add to my stash of masculine birthday cards so that I have some back ups in case I need them.

Background stamp is from Memory Box and stamped in vintage photo. Leaves are from Gina K Designs and stamped in SU Wild Wasabi. I used a finger dauber and sponged vintage photo distress ink around the image and then cut it apart. I used my crop-a-dile corner chomper to round the corners on all the panels.

Designer paper is from Provo Craft that came out of an old old paper pad. Brown and kraft cardstock is from PTI. Finally, I added three sizes of gold pearls to finish off the card.

Red bows

Hi everyone! Another image from There She Goes that was super fun to color!

Colored with Copic's. Designer paper is from My Minds Eye. Long rectangle nestie used to cut her out and then I used my perfect layers tool to get a good 1/16 layer of blue around. Cardstock from Hot Off The Press.

MFT dies used on the red and sentiment panel. The red bow was also cut from a MFT die, which matches the bows on her purse and boots!  Pearls fom Kaisercraft.

Clean and simple thank you

Hi everyone! Here's a quick CAS card today! Warning - there's a lot of white space on this card!

The stamps are from Papertrey, Ink called green thumb. I stamped the strawberry in wild cherry ink from MFT (great ink, BTW) and the top using SU garden green. Sentiment is stamped in Archival jet black.

I used the fish tail dies from MFT to cut out the sentiment and then the red layer. Circle nesties used for the strawberry. Red cardstock is from Bazzill.

I used 3D dots to pop both of these up off the white card base.

Hello - Mojo Monday #275

Hi everyone! I really like this weeks Mojo Monday's sketch but decided to turn it side ways!

I used stamps from Verve's Tag Time set to create the circle. The grid was stamped in a light light yellow ink then cut out using a nesties die. Hello was then stamped in the center using Archival ink.

The yellow Designer paper is from Making Memories and the green is from Lasting Impressions. Felt and paper flower and the button are also from Making Memories.  I added some green ferns using the MS craft punch.

I think the lace I used is really seam binding - It's been in my stash forever and I believe my Mom gave it to me a decade ago! My oh my, how we hoard stuff!

Raspberry Beret

Hi everyone! I hope this finds you all doing well! I just got these new stamps from There She Goes and was having a bit of fun coloring.

Every time I see a beret, I either think of beatniks or Prince. I decided to go with Prince on the coloring of this one!

I ended up doing some fussy cutting on her and then popping her up with some foam tape. Dies are from My Favorite Things. I used In the City scrapbook on the go designer paper from Lasting Impressions. It was on clearance for $2.00! Can't beat that for a pad of 6 x 6 paper!

I added black rhinestones for buttons and pink rhinestones to bling up the flowers on her beret and scarf. Vintage cream cardstock and the blue grosgrain ribbon is from PTI.

Sweet pea

Hi everyone! Here's a sweet birthday card - pun intended!

Stamps is from There She Goes and they're stamped in Memento ink. The sweet peas are color with Copic markers.

I found the piece of designer paper in my scrap stash and really like the colors in it.  Since the pink matched the marker colors I used I layered it with some white cardstock to make it stand out on that lime green.  I used a PTI embossing plate to add a bit of texture to it.

Both the sentiment and sweet pea panels were cut out using the Spellbinders long rectangle nesties. I decided to add a bit of ribbon at the last minute and used a scrap piece of white satin that I colored with the Copics.

Dare to dream

Happy New Year! Here's a cute little card I created for this weeks Mojo Monday sketch!

I think it goes well with all our New Years Resolutions that we make this time of year! LOL!

The stamps and die are from Verve. The black and white gingham paper was purchased at Impress Rubber Stamps a while ago, and I think it might actually be from A*Muse.

The embossing folder that I used in the background is from Lifestyle Crafts. Black grosgrain ribbon and pearls from Queen & Co. finish things out on this card. It ended up being a 4 x 4 square.
