Sight seeing at 10,000 feet

Hey everyone!

I had the unexpected opportunity to take a flight over Soldotna AK and see some of the landscape! Here are a few pictures that I snapped while on board that little Cessna airplane!

The pilot calls his plane the "ugly duckling!"

Me, strapped into the harness with the headset on and ready for take off!

Shadow of the plane with the gorgeous mountains in the back ground.

Great shot of the Kenai river, which is still frozen in a lot of places. I caught this shot between propeller spins. ;-)

Again, the Kenai river that is actually free of ice. There are actually guys down there fishing!

This adventure was just breathtaking and a once in a life time opportunity! What a rush!

You are so lucky, and must have the best job in the whole world! Not only did you get to go to AK for work, you got to take your DH AND go up in a plane to sightsee....glad you can't see the putrid shade of green that I'm turning :) lol...seriously, I'm so happy for you that your trip was good! AK is the one place on our bucket list! Hugs...
