Ombre thanks

Hi everyone. I got a chance to play around a bit today with new stamps from Pretty Pink Posh. I paired it with the ombre challenge going on over at Addicted to CAS.

The colors of my cardstock appear to be off in the photo for some strange reason.

I used me new Arteza watercolor markers and did the smooch technique to create some cool water color effects on Bristol paper. Used the coordinating dies from PPP and cut them out.

I blended some wilted violet onto a piece of cardstock and then cut out the "thanks."  Stitched frame die from My Favorite Things.  Fabrika Decoru enamel used to create the dots.

Thanks for stopping by.

Classic

It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week we were challenged to use the following photo as inspiration.

I chose to go with the color palette this time around. Made for a great masculine card.

Sentiment is heat embossed in Silver. Chevy is stamped in Versafine black ink. I used a 3D embossing folder on the silver cardstock to get masculine weave. Finished it off with some silver self adhesive dots.

Pick of the week - stenciling

Hello. It's my turn to pick what to focus on over at The House That Stamps Built. This week, I want to focus on Stenciling.

First of all I stamped the sentiment and the bee in Versafine ink and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder.

Then, I stenciled the honeycomb back ground onto a white card panel using Distress squeezed lemonade ink and a blending tool. I went a little bit brighter or darker on the inside and then fading out toward the edge of the card.

Stamps used are 9308 W Bee and 9312 W just "bee" cause.  I kept this very clean and simple so that the focal point of the stenciling doesn't get lost. I also stamped a bee in the inside right hand corner to continue with the cuteness!

Hope your inspired to get out your stencils and play around a bit.

Thanks for stopping by!

Just because

Hello.  Playing in the sketch challenge over at TGIF challenges today.

Flower stamp is from Inspired by Stamping. I used Copic markers to color it.  Black gingham designer paper is from Making Memories.

I pulled out my small scalloped border die to use on the right side per the sketch. I did an a sentiment to this as it seemed to be missing "something" and looked unfinished.

Again, adding this to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of using patterned paper.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.

Tulips

Hello. I can't believe how busy I've been these past two weeks. It's all been work related, which is all good, but it left little time for stamping. Here is something I was able to color up and it worked really well for this weeks Freshly Made Sketch.

Stamps are from Papertrey, Ink. I stamped the tulips in Versafine then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Colored with Copic's.

Designer patterned paper is from My Favorite Things.  Which allows me to enter this into the use patterned paper over at Simon Says Stamp.

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping in.

Tic-Tac-Toe challenge

Hello - time for another TTT challenge over at The House That Stamps Built.

I used the middle row across - water colors, blue and embossing.

I used watercolor paper and smooched around some blues to get this back ground. I then stamped the sentiment and dragonflies in Versafine ink then heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. Added some dew drops for fun and interest. I cut this out using a cross stitch die and matted onto a white panel and then adhered it to a black card base.

Designers Choice Challenge - things with wings

Hello. It's my turn to choose what to make over at the House That Stamps Built. My choice is to make anything with wings. Here is mine.

I used the big butterfly from Repeat Impressions. It's stamped in Versafine and then heat embossed so that I could color it with Copic's.

Background is done using water colors on water color paper. I stamped the butterfly and then fussy cut out another one to layer on top. Added some dew drops for interest.  Stamped the sentiment and cut it out using a small fishtail banner die. Popped it up on the card with foam tape.

Thanks

Hi there! I made this a while ago and never post it.

Done with the turn about "thanks" stamps from Concord and 9th. Background is done with Distress Oxide inks. I used White detail embossing powder from Ranger on this.

Size of card turned out to be 4 x 4. Fun foam used to pop up the stamped panel and the thanks quote.

Happy New Year!

Happy Birthday

Hello. One last card for the sketch challenge over at Less is More.

I changed up where the sentiment is placed. Stamps are from Hero Arts. I used dies from Memory Box to cut out the corners. I used Salty Ocean distress ink on a separate piece of cardstock and played around with adding water to it. Once I had what I like I taped it to the back of the front panel.

Used fun foam on the back and taped it onto a white card base. Did not add any other embellishments to this as I wanted something clean and simple.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful New Years!

You are just the nicest

Hello. Playing in the sketch challenge over at Less is More today.

Believe it or not, this is one of those dollar bin stamps that I found at my local stamp store. I masked it off a couple of times in each of the corners then colored with Copic's.

Sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink.  Flower centers are filled with Fabrika Decoru.

Entering this into the Anything goes over at Simon Says Stamp, too.

Have a great day!
